Pure Joy Charity Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity based in Ventura, California. Established in 2024, we exist to restore joy, dignity, and opportunity to vulnerable children and families through acts of compassion, education, and community connection.
We believe that joy is more than an emotion—it is a right. Even in the most difficult circumstances, every person deserves moments of light, laughter, and love. Our programs are designed to deliver joy that heals, empowers, and uplifts.
Our Mission
Our mission is to deliver joy where it’s needed most—into the hands of children facing poverty, trauma, or illness. Through enrichment programs, care packages, family relief support, and joyful events, we foster emotional well-being and lasting hope. We aim to be a source of sunshine in the storm—a reminder that no matter how hard life gets, there is still love, still light, and still joy.
Why We Do It
So many families struggle to meet their basic needs, and in the process, emotional wellness, play, and childhood joy are left behind. For children living in shelters, hospitals, or foster care—joy often feels like a luxury they can’t afford.
We created Pure Joy Charity Initiative because we believe joy is essential—not optional—for healthy development, emotional healing, and human connection. Our goal is to nourish the hearts of those who are too often forgotten.
When joy enters the room, hope follows. And where there is hope, there is possibility.
🎁 Joy Box Program
We deliver personalized care packages (Joy Boxes) filled with toys, art supplies, books, snacks, hygiene items, and uplifting notes to children in shelters, foster care, or hospitals.
🎨 Create for Joy Workshops
Interactive art, music, and play sessions led by local volunteers and teaching artists to help children express themselves, build resilience, and simply have fun.
🥫 Family Relief & Essentials
We provide emergency groceries, baby supplies, hygiene kits, and school supplies to low-income families in crisis.
🎈 Joy Day Celebrations
Pop-up events with games, face painting, food, and entertainment for children in underserved neighborhoods, bringing a day of happiness and human connection.
🎓 Bright Futures Scholarship
Micro-grants for teens who have overcome adversity and want to pursue creative, community, or educational paths that spark joy and purpose.
💵 Donate
Help fund Joy Boxes, sponsor a Joy Day, or support a child through our scholarship fund.
🎨 Volunteer
Become a Joy Ambassador by helping pack kits, lead a workshop, organize events, or offer your talents to bring joy.
🏢 Partner With Us
Schools, businesses, and local orgs can host Joy Box drives, co-sponsor events, or support us with in-kind donations.
